‘Hugs & Handshakes’ — THERE THERE Company
© Toon Van Gramberen
In the summer of 2025, THERE THERE Company will take to the city to transform handshakes and embraces into spectacular acrobatics. .
Hugs & Handshakes will be an acrobatic choreography in which everyday touch is the starting point. Thus the small gesture becomes visible in large movements.
What is special is that Hanna Mampuys and Toon Van Gramberen reach out to the audience to participate in the performance. In each case, they work with a group of local volunteers with no prior knowledge who are prepared over one day to participate in the performance.

‘Panic Ludic’ — Pol & Freddy
© Sarah Vanheuverzwijn
'Panic Ludic' is the story of a fragile hero. Together with his faithful companion, he invents ways to kill a sea of time.
Chain-smoking, with the end in sight, he puts body and soul on the line, searching for hope, beauty and an empty ashtray.
Circus, trash dressage and slapstick in a quest for the limits of humor. What is funny, what is horrific, and what is horribly funny.
'Panic Ludic' is a 30-minute outdoor performance for parks and flowerbeds.

‘Moon’ — Compagnie Barks / Bastien Dausse
© Jean Lambert
MOON is not a classical performance, but a living and acrobatic exhibition. A cabinet of curiosities of surprising anti-gravity devices, around which small performances of about ten minutes each are brought. The installations resonate with the performance site, giving a new perspective on a familiar space. A unique dramaturgy is devised for each location. Spectators follow a path created specifically for the play site. They wander through the space as the performances unfold, like a tour of a museum.
→ Circ'uit supports the realization of a new installation "Walking on the wall" (working title).

‘La Vieille Souche’ — Samuel Rhyner
© Katelijne Boonen
Samuel Rhyner is a Swiss circus performer. He studied Circus and Performance Art at the Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (Tilburg, NL) and specializes mainly in dance acrobatics. We know Samuel as a performer in Exit by Circumstance/Piet Van Dycke (Cirque Plus 2022). Juggling and Cyr wheel (a hoop act) are also among his specialties. In his spare time, he prefers to play the piano and compose music. An artistic jack-of-all-trades, in other words.
In the performance "La Vieille Souche" (the old tree stump), we meet Trebor (a tree in a jar) and Robert (an acrobat) in a distant, dystopian future.Intertwined and leaning on each other, these two entities live in sync and support each other during acrobatic dialogue. After a connecting embrace between the two characters, the audience is invited to plant Trebor, at or around the performance site.
"La Vieille Souche is an ode to life, in all its absurdity, and to the walnut tree at the edge of the garden of the house of my youth; a tree that bore my first huts and the first cares of my heart, and that, still, bears the scars of the swing ropes with pride." (Samuel Rhyner)
